I am avoiding this👇 at all costs

the only matrix you'll want to be in

Welcome to the new Audacious Introverts joining the 19th edition of this newsletter 👋 Every week, I, Laura, share curated frameworks from the creator economy that helped me transition from biomedical engineer to audacious content creator. Overthink everything, show up anyway đŸ€“

Curiosity got the best of me this week.

I needed to do some ‘market research’ on how businesses are outsourcing their writing jobs (and how I can actually land them).

So I did the opposite of what premium freelancers tell you and had a tiny peek inside of Fiverr and Upwork.

It was
 a lot.

I missed the memo that nowadays YOU need to pay to apply for freelancing jobs so that prospects know you are serious 😬😬

I am as seriously disturbed.

I closed my tabs and pledged that I will do everything in my power not to end up there (no judgement, some people are killing it).

Making shiny banners and flashy profiles is not really me.

But the good news is that there is a way to escape the act.

How? 👇

Build your personal brand.

Framework #19: The Trust Matrix

The trust matrix

1. Growth = Get good at expressing your ideas

How well can you communicate what’s in your head?

  • Write regularly: Turn thoughts into posts. Even simple ideas can land if they’re well-framed.

  • Use proven formats: Break down top-performing posts in your niche. Ask: What grabbed attention? What’s the value? What psychology is at play?

  • Be excited about the topic you’re writing about. Energy is contagious, even in text. Exhibit A: Drunk Business Advice

Drunk Business AdviceA radically unfiltered business newsletter.

Action step:

Create a swipe file of 20–30 great posts. Under each, write 3–5 bullet points explaining why it works.

2. Authenticity = be audaciously you

Don’t try to be everything for everyone.

  • Stick around. Engagement = quality ideas × time in the game.

  • Polarization is okay: Being liked by everyone means you’re not standing for anything.

  • Let your core values guide your content. These become magnets for like-minded followers.

Action step:

List 5–7 of your personal principles or beliefs. Start turning each into a recurring content theme.

3. Authority = teach from your perspective

This is how you differentiate your content from the noise.

  • Reframe common topics through your own story, values, or metaphor.

  • Introduce ideas through a new lens. Reinterpret concepts with your own additions.

  • Speak to pain points and desired outcomes:

    • Not “how to build a personal brand”

    • But “how to stand out without selling your soul on Fiverr”

Action step:

Take one generic topic you’d normally post about and rewrite it from your own perspective.
