‘How are you dealing with AI doing the writing now?’

We just finished a career panel for PhDs on the possibilities after leaving academia.

This year, I left my conventional job behind to jump into solopreneurship and build my own content business (something UNHEARD of in my science world 😆).

What is the point of a content business, though, in times where AI can do the content for you?

Good question.

Because until recently, I was convinced that it can’t (yet).

Tried & Tested: AI content strategy

It will always be in our nature to seek out the human connection. Something that AI just can’t recreate: the fears, the challenges, the learnings… I want to connect with people who have been in the trenches, not with AI general happy life advice (eeww)

So how to AI when personal points of view are an important part of your content strategy?

Meet Scripe.

I’ve been testing Scripe for a few weeks now. At first, I thought it was just another AI tool with fancy promises. (Recovering content overthinker here). But Scripe surprised me.

My Scripe dashboard

It doesn’t only scrape your LinkedIn posts and spit them back with a new emoji and em dashes. It gives you something better:

➤ Analytics & content creation in one place (finally, some numbers that are useful)

➤ Content pillars that make sense to me

➤ A knowledge base where you can upload your own resources—voice memos, YouTube videos, even drafts in your messy style

The important thing for me:

I don’t start from zero. I drop a voice memo, Scripe pulls out my main ideas, and it builds the hook and a draft for a post. I can edit easily. I can change the length and the formatting. All there.

Bonus features:

  • Content interview: Scripe asks you questions, you answer, it builds a post. (Kind of like talking to a friend or a podcast interviewer)

  • Calendar and scheduling: If you love sticking to a plan, it’s there.

  • Inspiration tab: Trending stuff from others. Not my thing, but maybe yours.

  • Can’t really talk about it because I haven’t used it: AI Photos.

But the real magic? I get to use my own input. Scripe helps shape it, but doesn’t erase me. That’s where content feels real.

Here is an example of a LinkedIn post that I wrote with an audio note + Scripe + editing:

Final thoughts:

  • Don’t use AI to comment or send automatic DMs. No-go

  • If you are a content beginner and don’t have much context yet, do the work first.

  • I will continue to test scripe in the next weeks when I have a content blackout. I like a hybrid approach of writing/AI help when needed.

Do I have a discount link for you to test Scripe? You bet! Use this Link and code REFERRALFRIENDS for 20% off.

As for my new baby business? I will continue to write about content and help audacious introverts with pointers/tools or maybe mentoring. I have just created a new offer in which you can ask me anything about LinkedIn content creation, too! I’ll get to help you out in a more personalized way.

Keep up the audacity,

Laura
