Audacious Introverts: Craft a Personal Brand
Stop consuming and start writing on LinkedIn

Sneak Peak:
Why LinkedIn is your new CV
3 steps to use LinkedIn to your advantage
Lara Acosta is an audacious introvert.
She build her personal brand on Linkedin from a frustrating need: she couldn’t find a job applying with her entry-level CV.
Today, she ditched traditional jobs altogether, build her own company and a 200k+ audience on LinkedIn that follows her every move.
But before LinkedIn became the 🔥 for creators like Lara, it was just a boring job-seeking platform.
You kept spreading your regular job position updates
You informed the world about your new project management certification
You used your profile as an MVP for your CV that needed (embarrassingly) urgent updating.
Why would you use LinkedIn for anything else?

Writing on LinkedIn builds unexpected opportunities
In my first month as a solopreneur, I took the path less traveled and prioritized learning how solopreneurs build their online presence to build their business and set themselves apart from the competition.
Here is what I found succesful solopreneurs do:
They don’t focus exclusively on thought leadership assays. Instead, they share 'Build in public' insights and take their audience on this journey with them.
They don’t hide behind their expertise. Instead, they are comfortable with being vulnerable and talk about failures.
They don’t place their product on a pedestal. Instead, they paint the picture on how working with them can change people's lives.
The best creators create value
Writing great hooks can create a lot of attention on Linkedin, yes.
But in the long run, you will appreciate creators who give the most value.
If you start following the best LinkedIn creators, you will find common patterns. They:
Inspire people to take action and educate (for free)
Share their mistakes and learnings (so that you can avoid them)
Go against the flow when they have something meaningful to say (audacious)
They have mastered the art of building genuine connections with authentic content.
Here is how I would approach LinkedIn from 0
After a year of writing on the platform inconsistently, I finally figured it out.
Here’s how you can use the platform to your best advantage:
#1 Boost your opportunities
Networking 101: Set a goal of people you would like to connect with.
For example, a mix of people who are in the same topic and stage as you, people who are a few steps ahead, and people in related roles. You would be surprised at how many people are hesitant to click the connection request. Set aside your fear of rejection.
Building a supportive community for yourself can unlock so many more opportunities that a CV could.
#2 Work on your mindset
Many people will lay out their success blueprints for you.
How to get started in personal finance, become a solopreneur, and get your next salary increase. Find them and study them instead of doomscrolling puppy videos. It will give you a much better return on your time.
Your next transformation may not be as far as you think.
#3 Create your own content
(my favorite🙋🏼♀️)
People want to hear your story.
And what you have to say about your industry. Become a thoughleader in tech, gain visibility for your startup, or reach your target audience with your offer 🎯.
Smart people play in a whole different LinkedIn league.
With the right content, you can be part of the conversation, too.
Keep up the audacity,
Laura
